1 August 2024, London - Brook Green Supply is delighted to announce its new partnership with The Womens Utilities Network (WUN), furthering its commitment to championing diversity within the utilities sector.

Founded in 2018 by a group of passionate women who were frustrated by the sector's lack of female representation, WUN has since grown into a dynamic community with over 7,200 members and followers, alongside more than 50 partners across the utilities landscape. Despite some progress, the utilities sector continues to struggle with diversity, with women making up just 30% of the workforce, a modest increase from 26% in 2022.

At Brook Green Supply, 41% of our workforce is female — above the industry average, yet still not where we aspire to be. We firmly believe that a diverse workforce fosters collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Through this partnership, Brook Green Supply is thrilled to offer our employees the opportunity to engage with WUN's inspiring initiatives, including in-person events, webinars, mentoring programmes, and networking with like-minded pioneers.

Karen Anderson, Programme Development Manager, WUN said "We are delighted to be partnering with Brook Green Supply, a leading provider of energy and environmental solutions for I&C clients. Here at WUN, we recognise how important it is to work alongside partners who are driving innovation for change in our sector, both in terms of solutions and in diversity and inclusion, in order to develop workplaces where women can thrive."

Luke Mallard, Head of Strategy & Commercial Innovation, Brook Green Supply commented "It’s no secret, the utilities sector lacks diversity and representation, particularly in senior positions. Brook Green Supply entered the market to disrupt and challenge the status quo, not only as a supplier, but as a corporate citizen. We're committed to attracting the best talent, irrespective of gender, background, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Partnering with WUN is a vital step in our journey, and we're excited to collaborate with their community."
